Oklahoma Interscholastic BMX League
Terms & Conditions
Last updated October 22, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the OIBL Rider Portal (the “Portal”) and the text messages and emails sent by the Oklahoma Interscholastic BMX League (“OIBL,” “the league,” “we”). By using the Portal or opting in to messages, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Who may use the Portal
The Portal is for parents and legal guardians of registered riders, people they invite, coaches, team staff and league administrators. Parents and guardians manage their riders' information; riders under 18 use the Portal only with a parent or guardian. You must be 18 or older to create an account or opt in to text messages.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in secure and don't share it. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep contact details up to date.
- Invite only people you trust to see or change your family's information.
- Tell us right away if you think your account has been used without permission.
Acceptable use
- Use the Portal only for league activities and your own family's riders.
- Don't post anything unlawful, harassing or inappropriate, or anyone else's private information.
- Don't try to access other families' information, interfere with the Portal, or copy its content in bulk.
We may suspend access for misuse.
Schedules, results and rankings
Race and practice schedules can change because of weather, track conditions or other reasons; the league will post changes in the Portal. Results and rankings come from race officials and USA BMX and may be corrected. League rules, registration and participation are governed by the league's policies and USA BMX rules.
SMS text message program
Program: OIBL Rider Portal text messages from the Oklahoma Interscholastic BMX League.
- What you'll receive: race-day and practice reminders (for example the Thursday before a race and on race day), missed required race notices with a link to pick a make-up day, schedule changes, event and clinic information, and important league updates. These are informational messages about your riders, not marketing.
- How to opt in: a parent or guardian adds their mobile number and chooses text reminders on the My family page of the Portal (or provides a mobile number at registration and agrees to receive league texts).
- Message frequency varies with the race and practice schedule, typically up to a few messages per week during the season.
- Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
- To stop messages, reply STOP to any text. You'll receive one confirmation message and no more texts unless you opt in again. You can also turn texts off on the My family page.
- For help, reply HELP, or contact us (below).
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of registration or participation in the league.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell or share mobile numbers, or text messaging opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
Emails
We email sign-in and password links, notices about your riders (such as a missed required race), and league updates. Account and safety emails are part of using the Portal.
Content and photos
Families keep ownership of photos and profile content they add, and give the league permission to show it in the Portal as the family chooses (for example on a public rider profile a parent turns on). Families can remove it at any time.
Third-party services
The Portal links to and uses third-party services such as USA BMX, bmxok.com registration, sign-in providers (Microsoft, Google, Apple), and email and text message delivery providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it accurate and available but can't guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the league, its volunteers and staff are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Portal or messages. BMX racing has inherent risks; participation is governed by the league's registration agreements and waivers, not these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Portal or receive messages after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
